Vinny is a 2009 graduate of Centereach HS where he helped lead the Cougars to their first League title in 18 years. He was named League III MVP, All-County, All-Long Island and All-State. Following graduation, he attended Farmingdale State College for the 2010 and 2011 seasons where he was a part of two Skyline Conference championships. He pitched 70 innings over two seasons and won 8 games. He is currently second in program history in K/9. He transferred to Adelphi University, but a torn labrum ended his career prematurely. From there, he founded Axcess Baseball – which covers college, high school and travel baseball on Long Island. He is also the Long Island scout for the San Diego Padres.
