Pitching: From the hill, Cillis is a legitimate prospect. He has pitched in relief and as a starter. He throws his fastball in the 87-90 MPH but has hit 92. He has a max-effort delivery with a high 3/4 arm slot. He has good tail on his two-seam fastball. He has had issues locating his fastball down in the strike zone, but he throws hard enough that he can succeed by throwing in the top half, and that is also a weapon with him when he has two strikes. He has a devastating 12-6 curve that is tight and has tremendous rotation. He threw three innings in his March 23 start. He allowed one first inning run ...

He is a true power hitter with a max exit velocity of 104 MPH. He put on an absolute display in batting practice at Texas A&M, hitting one OVER the giant scoreboard beyond the left field fence. He has very quick hands and finishes with both hands on the bat. He went 3-for-13 with six strikeouts in the season opening series against Texas A&M. Their pitchers were incredibly advanced and rarely challenge...

Scouting Report: Mat Anunziata

Player Name: Mat Anunziata School: Hofstra Position: LF Offensively: Mat is a power hitter that happens to hit leadoff due to the composition of the lineup. He is a rhythmic hitter that bats with an open stance, a high back elbow and slightly bent knees. He has quite a bit of movement with his hands and sways to lock himself into hitting position. None of this has any effect on his swing, he is able to get into a consistent hitting position when the pitcher is set. He has a short stride but has a very aggressive swing that produces some tremendous power. He has a strong base, and gets himself into a good power L position. He finishes with both hands on the bat. He put on some performances during batting practice. His power is definitely best when he hooks it down the right field line. His ...

He was named League 2 Pitcher of the Year in his senior season and was All-County. He pitched exclusively from the stretch. He came to his set position with a stiff back leg and his hands set high. He has a very high leg kick–above the letters. His back leg is still bent at the balance point, and he keeps his eyes locked on the target through out the duration of the delivery. He kicks his leg out prior to beginning the falling action. He gets very good drive from his back leg. The arm circle is pretty short, but is creates lots of deception because it is tough to spot. Scouting Report: Mike Jeannetti

Player Name: Mike Jeannetti School: Dowling Position: RHP Mike is a pitcher without the typical build of a pitcher. He is generously listed at 5’10” 185 lbs. It does not matter because he uses every bit of his frame to generate power. He starts all the way from the third base side of the rubber. He steps back very minimally and towards first base as he prepares for the legkick. He keeps his eyes locked on the target the entire time. His leg kick is not very high, but it is balanced and he keeps his back leg bent to generate power. Jeannetti throws from a low 3/4 arm angle with near-max effort, which allows him to have a sharp slider when the release point is on. He finishes balanced and aimed at home plate. He recorded the nine-out save on March 11 against New Haven. He was mai...

He brings his hands down as a timing mechanism as he steps back during his delivery. He brings them all the way as he is entering the balance position. He keeps his eyes locked on the target the entire delivery. The legkick is slightly unique as he brings it up but kicks the foot out towards third base a little before coming up. The stride is normal and the landing is straight to homeplate. He finishes with good extension and balance, slightly falling off to the first base side. In his one inning of work against New Haven, he threw up a goose egg. Sesto worked mainly in the low 80s with his fastball. He struck out the fir...

He has a violent delivery, with a near max effort throwing style. He delivers from a 3/4 arm angle. He has a nice, long stride but lands slightly open towards first base.
