Mulqueen’s All-Around Day Leads LI Indians to 7-4 Victory Over Camelot Knights

The LI Indians 12-under center fielder went 2-for-3 with three runs, an RBI and two stolen bases to lead his team to a 7-4 win over the Camelot Knights in opening round of the East Coast Columbus Day Tournament at Uniondale’s Mitchel Athletic Complex Oct. 5. After a 1-2-3 inning by Indians starting pitcher Kiran Paningankar, Mulqueen started off the scoring for his team with an RBI-triple, helping his pitcher cross the plate. Catcher Brian Licata, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a walk, singled to score Mulqueen for an early 2-0 advantage for his team that never trailed. Blue Chip Prospects Host Northeast Elite Underclass at Baseball Heaven

Three champions were crowned yesterday at Baseball Heaven for the annual Blue Chip Prospect Northeast Elite Underclass tournament. On a hot & humid August afternoon, two players stole the show and stood above the rest in their respective brackets. Steven Rizzo (St. Anthony’s) captured the high school division and Vito Friscia (Hofstra) captured the college division in front of a packed crowd at Baseball Heaven. Rizzo led all high school hitters with 10 home runs, including seven in the first round. He defeated Matt Brown-Eiring (Connetquot 2020) in the championship round with two home runs. David Falco (Center Moriches 2019) smacked 3 HR, Brock Murtha (Saville 2020) hit two while Kyle Rausch (Longwood 2019) and Brown-Eiring each hit one. The college age players put on a clinic. Team Steel Captures Boys of Summer College Division Title

Brentwood State Park, Brentwood NY – Team Steel Baseball Heaven (Yaphank) has won Boys of Summer College Division Championship game played at Brentwood State Park Monday night.   The Boys of Summer (Selden) College Division had 19 teams competing in their summer baseball league.  Team Steel defeated the Mattituck Ospreys 4-3 in the quarter finals, Hank’s Yanks 4-1 in the semi- finals and the Bulldogs 8-3 in the Championship game.   Pictured left to right standing: Coach Mike DeSantis, Nick DeSantis (Immaculata University), C.J.
