After Rowan Golub got on base with an infield single, Jackson Aplustille brought him home with an RBI triple. NY Longhorns Sweep Friday Night DH From Knights Nation

On a night where the Mets and Yankees kicked off the Subway Series, two other teams familiar with one another squared up under the lights at Cantiague Park. Game 1: The NY Longhorns were in control for much of this game until the last inning. They did fall behind 1-0 in the first inning on an RBI single by Joe Meyer to left field which scored Jake D’Amico but he was thrown out trying to stretch into a double. Longhorns’ RHP Marco Comande ended the inning with a groundout to first base. They faced Knights RHP Lucas Schwabe. Facing their steepest test against the SFX Huskies, they fell behind 4-0 before coming to bat in the first inning, and never waivered as they came away with a hard fought 10-8 victory to capture the 12u championship in the Labor Day Bash. Syosset and South Shore Ends in 10-10 Tie on Second Day of Labor Day Bash

by Matthew Cataruzolo Farmingdale, NY – The Syosset Braves and South Shore Chiefs squared off on the second day of the East Coast Labor Day Bash Tournament, powered by Axcess Baseball. The game went the distance and resulted in a 10-10 tie.  The South Shore Chiefs struck first in the bottom of the first inning on a two RBI double by Brenden O’Connell.  Syosset managed to tie it up 2-2 the next inning with back-to-back RBI singles by Ethan Tramposch and Vinny Roseo.  The bottom of the third inning saw the Chiefs take a 5-2 lead off a big two RBI double by Jake Coppola, and an infield hit by Vinny Heller.  With a three-run lead, the game headed into the top of the fourth inning, where Syosset turned up the heat.  After loading the bases with one out, Chief’s pitcher Ryan Mifsud surrendered f...

The Labor Day Bash is just another example of exactly that. Farmingdale defeats Dodgers Nation on first day of East Coast Labor Bash Tournament

by Matthew Cataruzolo Farmingdale, NY – On the first day of the East Coast Labor Day Bash Tournament, Powered by Axcess Baseball, the Farmingdale Greendogs defeated the Dodgers Nation by a score of 18-2.  The Greendogs were in control of the game immediately, and wasted no time putting runs on the board. Getting after starting pitcher Gavin Ziegler began in the top of the first with a leadoff single by Greendogs’ center fielder Braden Cloghessy, followed by back-to-back RBI singles by Dominic Kloepping and Gabe Cepada. Catcher Patrick Molite plated two more with a ground rule double, giving Farmingdale an early 5-0 lead.  Farmingdale’s offensive attack exploded in the top of the second inning. JJ Gatti Commits to the University of Dayton

JJ Gatti capped a great 2021 season with his recent college commitment to the University of Dayton. The college, which is located in Ohio, competes in the Atlantic-10 conference and reached the conference championship this past season and also the last full season in 2019. Gatti is a a talented RHP that helped lead Chaminade to the CHSAA Championship this season in a sweep over Kellenberg. All-HCBL 1st & 2nd Teams Named

The Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League announced the All-HCBL first and second teams yesterday. This officially puts a bow on the 2021 season which concluded with the Southampton Breakers capturing the title.
