Especially in the first inning. The scoring began in the first inning and that turned out to be the difference in this one. With one out in the first inning and bases loaded, Tommy Dillon worked a walk to give the Black Diamonds a 1-0 lead. This began a carousel of runners moving station to station. James Miezeveski singled up the middle to make it 2-0. Kevin Defilipis worked a bases loaded walk to make it 3-0. The next batter, Chris Dinotta, legged out an infield single on a slow roller to shortstop to m...
Tim Feliz batted .359 last year with a .609 SLG. He will be a huge piece of their lineup pic.twitter.com/L6GBkgTtlZ — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 27, 2021 Following a 4-7 start to the 2021 season, Adelphi basically needed a miracle to reach postseason play. They needed to get red-hot and get help from their conference foes. That is exactly what happened, as Bill Ianniciello took over at the helm for Dom Scala on April 14 and the Panthers turned their season around – highlighted by a 7-game winning streak to capture the Northeast-10 Southwest Division Regular Season title. In the NE-10 playoffs, they defeated AIC in the semifinal, 8-2, before advancing to face Le Moyne in the southwest division final. They defeated them, 6-4, in Game 1 before losing Game 2 to force a ...

by Nick Cipolla Game 1 Nick Farnacci makes it 2-0 with a 2 out RBI double in the bottom of the second inning pic.twitter.com/BvkPRMO7A8 — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 23, 2021 In what may be the final games of the year for the Batting 1000 Seminoles, they made sure to go out with a bang. The Seminoles took Game 1 of the doubleheader over the LI Empire by a score of 2-1. The key to this game for the Seminoles was clean defense and two runs early in the game to set the tone. In the first inning, the Seminoles put a man on and sent Andrew Bonnano to the plate. After fighting a couple of pitches off, he served a ball into center and made it a 1-0 game. Nick Farnacci got his day going in the second inning with a 2 out RBI double to make it 2-0 Seminoles in the bottom of the seco...
by Nicholas Cipolla Final: Titans: 4 Lumberjacks: 0 Jordan Ynoa throws a complete game shutout to win the championship for the titans pic.twitter.com/j4XQ8Hb9ra — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 18, 2021 Jordan Ynoa did exactly what you expect an ace to do in a big time game in October. He went out there and dominated for seven innings and led his team to victory. Offensively, the Titans got on the board in the second with a sac fly to right field from Everett Gaver in the second inning. Besides that, we had a pitchers duel for 5 innings of play. Ynoa was dominant from pitch one until the very last pitch. He only allowed 5 runners to reach base, and surrendered only one extra base hit to the Lumberjacks over 7 innings of work. He also added an inning ending pickoff in the four...
by Nicholas Cipolla Jordan Meivowitz gives the titans the lead in the fifth with a 2 run double that hit the top of the left center wall. Score is now 4-2 Titans pic.twitter.com/eunFyunXPn — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 17, 2021 The Long Island Titans did not want to lose this game, no matter how things looked after the first inning. Before a big 5th inning, it looked like this would be a long and probably miserable fall afternoon on the baseball field. Baseball Warehouse jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first when Jaxon Appleman crushed a 2-run home run over the double fence in center field, 305 feet away from home plate. In the bottom of the first, Kyle Anderson struck out two of the three batters he faced and his stuff looked electric. After allowing th...
by Matthew Cataruzolo Yaphank, NY – The East Coast Lumberjacks defeated Beast Apicella by a score of 9-1 on Friday night to kick off the Northeast Elite 16u Tournament at Lasorda Legacy Park in Yaphank, New York. Apicella’s starting pitcher Matthew Brienza faced off against Lumberjack’s pitcher Matthew DeStefanis in what would eventually become a lopsided victory. Both pitchers held their competition in check for the first two innings. Apicella getting on the board first courtesy of an RBI single off the bat of Thomas Ford. C.J. Forman answered back quickly for the Lumberjacks with a sacrifice fly to even the score at 1-1 in the top of the second inning. After DeStefanis issued a 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the second, the Lumberjacks offense exploded in the top of the third inning. ...

by Gabe Zoda Was able to speak to DJ Dowling after the game after winning the championship with his team. 2-3 2B, 2RBIs. pic.twitter.com/TGyTbhdNDA — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 11, 2021 Columbus day always brings some fun October baseball both in the MLB and also around the island. One of these games was the 12u American Championship Game between Batting 1.000 Seminoles and Chiefs Nation. This game was back and forth until one inning changed the entire landscape of this game and led to a 11-3 win for the Seminoles. The action started right out of the gates with the Seminoles putting up 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning. The leadoff batter for the Seminoles, Gus Sofronis, hit a single through the left side of the infield to kick things off. Sofronis then stole two ...
by Andrew Connors Here’s Coach Craig Ross after the Championship win. pic.twitter.com/TCioDJ5N9n — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 11, 2021 Columbus Day and baseball tournaments are as good of a mix as anything you can think of. That was no different this year, as there was a great showdown between the 15u Batting 1.000 Seminoles-Ross and the LI Red Dogs. The two teams have had their fair share of battles in the past, so this championship game was bound to be an entertaining one for all in attendance. Jake Settanni was the starting pitcher for the Seminoles, while Tommy Rizzuto was the starter for the Red Dogs. Both pitchers poured everything they had into their performances today as they both put on strong showings. Rizzuto pitched 5 complete innings, allowing three runs on 6...
by James Ryder Here is Liam Talbot and Brian Kapfer with their thoughts on the teams performance today: pic.twitter.com/KOKA3AjBNx — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) October 10, 2021 On Field B at Eisenhower Park on Sunday, some mistakes were made. The 14U East River Sharks and Batting 1.000 Seminoles combined for 8 errors through 5 innings. The rain started to come down in the third inning, which definitely didn’t help either team’s cause. However, despite the mishaps on display on the defensive side of the ball, the bats were awake for most of the early morning matchup. In the end, it was the away team that came away with the win in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Sharks defeated the Seminoles 5-4. The game began with two scoreless innings. The starting pitchers for each team av...
by Nicholas Cipolla The Adrenaline must’ve been pumping today as it seemed Adrenaline Select out of Toms River, New Jersey came out and dominated the game from pitch one until the final out. In this mid morning game, The Adrenaline drew first blood. Harold Rodriguez drew a leadoff walk, stole 2 bases, and scored when today’s starting pitcher Evan Bailey grounded out to the shortstop to make it 1-0. Bailey took the mound in the bottom of the first and retired the side with ease. He set the tone early as he used a great mix of three pitches (Fastball, Changeup, Curveball) to keep the Legends off balance when he was on the mound. Nate Baran executes a suicide squeeze to perfection to make it a 2-0 game in favor of Adrenaline. pic.twitter.com/uO2qrUNxjZ — Axcess Baseball LI (@axcessbaseball) O...
