NY TRU32 and B1.000 Seminoles Tie in Second Game of a Doubleheader

Game 2 of a doubleheader between these two teams was one full of excitement that had a bit of a lackluster ending as the game ended in a tie due to the time limit. The scoring began in the top of the first inning as the Seminoles got a 2 out rally going, putting runners in scoring position. A run would score on a wild pitch to make it a 1-0 game. Long Island Scouts Academy Takes Double Header Over Arsenal

In game one, the Arsenal sent Michael O’Grady to the mound to take on Stevie Hernandez of the Scouts. The Arsenal would get on the board first after a leadoff single up the middle from Patrick Scarangella who used his speed to take second and then advance to third on a passed ball. LI Jr. Ducks South and LI Storm Split Sunday Matinee DH

Game one saw Lucas Chatterton pitch for the Storm and Brandon McLanghlin pitch for the Ducks. The Ducks would get runners in scoring position in the first, but Lucas Chatterton would calm down and strike out the next 3 batters with good pitch execution. The Storm would take the lead after a Zach Fabus walk to lead off the inning who took second base on the next pitch. Sharks Ride Big 4th Inning to Victory

by Nick Cipolla Despite the cold weather, the Long Island Sharks didn’t let it bother their offensive production in last night’s victory over the Pat-Med Raiders. The Raiders jumped to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st as Gavin McMurray walked, stole second, and then scored on a throwing error as he was stealing third to make it 1-0 Raiders. The Sharks responded immediately in the bottom half of the inning, scoring three runs to take a 3-1 lead. James Chandler tied the game at 1 with an RBI single, Logan Kirwin crushed a go ahead double to deep left field to knock in Chandler to make it 2-1, and Jacob Abran would get Kirwin in with an RBI groundout to make it 3-1. Freedom Baseball and B1 Seminoles Split Saturday DH

These two games were completely different from each other and saw both squads win one game. The first game was won by B1000 Seminoles by a score of 7-2 while the second was won by Freedom Baseball by a score of 4-1.  The action got started right out of the gates in game one with 2 runs by the Seminoles.
