by Chris Donnelly In a Hamptons League Matchup between the Shelter Island Bucks and the Westhampton Aviators there was more than enough offense as the Bucks won 19-8 with a total of 27 runs scored. Luke Mistone started the game for the Aviators striking out 2 in the first and a caught stealing from catcher Waldier Perez to keep the Bucks off the board. Jacob Nolan took the ball for the Bucks and started off strong with a strikeout but, then struggled to find the zone proceeding to walk the next 2 batters. The 2nd inning would be quiet for both teams, they both failed to push any runs across sending the game to the 3rd inning. ...

For the Storm, Ryan Solomon got the start and for Dodgers Nation, Billy Steinmann got the nod. Solomon showed early that he would be a pitcher that pounds the strike zone and pitches to contact after he tossed a quick 1-2-3 inning with three fly outs in the first. For Steinmann, his first inning wasn’t as smooth, but he still looked good on the mound. After the lead off batter reached on an error, AJ Magaraci ripped a single into right field to set up a f...

Same can be said in the 14u ECYB championship game between the Five Star Mafia and the Fairfield County Captains coming from Connecticut. The Five Star Mafia were really able to bring the fireworks on both sides to solidify a 5-1 victory. The Five Star Mafia wasted no time getting on the Scoreboard as they would tack on one in the bottom of the first inning. Mike Buonagura started things off with a one out single.
