At Wantagh Park, Matty Neumann pitched a 1-run complete game on the bump to give them a 5-1 over the OC Titans who run-ruled them earlier in the day 13-2.
Aidan Carey began the game with a walk, a steal of second, and advanced home on an overthrow while stealing third. After jumping out early 1-0, Neumann worked a 1-2-3 inning to set up his team to build on their existing lead. Neumann as a lefty, utilized his pickoff plenty of times to keep runners at check when he would allow men on. Neumann also was playing at the 12u level while only being 10.

Dodgers Nation put up 2 more runs in the 2nd from Dom Angenhauser who scorched a ball into right that score Nico Burriesci and Johnny Neumann. OC Titans would find their lone run of the game in the bottom half of the inning. Jacob De La Rosa singled and later ended up getting home on a groundout to third by Jack Frischman.
With their lead being shaved down by 1, Dodgers Nation continued their hot start at the plate to flip the script on their earlier loss. 2 more runs came around to score in the 3rd and from that point on, pitching for both sides took over the game.

Neumann would collect his only 2 strikeouts in the bottom half of the inning and kept his consistency the rest of the way. The main factor in his performance was mostly everything was kept on the ground for his infield to make plays on. 11 of the 18 outs he got were groundouts, only 5 outs were recorded in the air.
OC Titans would threaten in the 6th with 2 on and 2 out, but once again as the tale all game long, Neumann stayed cool on the mound and got Alex Karousos to fly out left to end the ballgame.

Dodgers Nation-Byrnes with the split on the day now sit at 9-6 in the ECYB 12u Summer Showdown with the OC Titans moving to 6-9.
