With the 15U Boys of Summer Fall championship on the line, the LI Titans took on the LIB Prime on a warm afternoon at the PAL Stadium.
The Titans sent Aaron Zacharia to the mound to face off against Eli Sierra.
Both pitchers would be on their ‘A’ games as neither would back down from a challenge both teams would get runners on base in each of the first 3 innings but great pitching and good defense from both teams stopped the runners in their tracks.

In the 4th inning, the titans would have the best scoring chance of the game to this point from either team with runners on 2nd and 3rd but Eli Sierras 4th strikeout of the game ended the inning.
As the game was moving quickly with both pitchers keeping the other team off the board and the basepaths the LIB Prime would come to bat in the bottom of the 7th inning with a chance to walk it off and win the championship.
They would get a leadoff single, but it would be erased quickly as the runner was caught stealing second base. This would come back to hurt LIB as they went on to load the bases but failed to score.
The teams would need an extra inning to decide this matchup. In the top of the 8th inning, the Titans would play small ball as they got a leadoff single and then a perfectly placed bunt in between the pitcher and first baseman would allow them to have a first and third situation with no outs. LIB Prime would make a pitching change which would allow Joey Aronica time to prepare to hit with a runner in scoring position.

Joey Aronica would rip a line drive into the right-center gap that would fall just out of the reach of the diving center fielder for an RBI single to give the Titans a 1-0 lead. The titans would continue to play small ball as they bunted again and once again a perfectly placed bunt would make the defense rush the throw and throw it away allowing 2 more runs to score.
With the Titans leading 3-0 and no outs in the inning the LIB Prime would play the infield back with a runner on third. A groundball would score that runner and the titans would go into the bottom of the 8th inning leading 4-0.
The LIB Prime would get 2 runners on in the bottom of the 8th inning but fail to score and the Titans would win the 15U Boys of Summer Fall championship.
