WEST Warriors Capture Half Hollow Hills Little League Fall Invitational

The WEST Warriors 12u Blue captured the Half Hollow Hills Little League Fall Invitational by the score of 16-6 over the WEST Warriors 13u Blue in an upset.

Aiden Barnett was the starting pitcher and was also credited with the victory in this one.

Both teams went scoreless in the first inning, but the action picked up in the second. Sean Martin got things going with a leadoff double and he came around to score on an RBI single by Ryan Toja to make it 1-0. They added runs on an bases loaded walk by Owen McGovern and an RBI single by Brayden Nazaretian to make it 4-0 in favor of 12u Blue.

Dylan Cappiello came on in relief with bases loaded and nobody out and promptly walked Mike Falasco and Sean Martin but did record two strikeouts to escape the jam.

Trailing 6-0 when they came to bat in the home half of the second, 13u Blue put up a great fight as they got on the board with an RBI single by Mike Seigal to make it 6-1. They threatened to score more but Mike Falasco threw out a runner to thwart the rally.

After trading zeros in the third, 13u Blue continued to keep the pressure on in the home half of the fourth. They added four runs thanks to RBI hits by Seigal and Hunter Javeline to make it 6-5 which prompted 12u Blue to bring in Sean Martin in relief.

They were able to extend the lead to 11-5 in the top of the fifth thanks to an RBI single by Owen McGovern and four bases loaded walks.

The game did get out of reach in the sixth when 12u Blue added a five spot to open up a 16-6 lead which wound up being the final score of the ballgame.
