Lucas Chatterton would continue to hit his sports and paint the corners adding 2 more strikeouts in the 2nd inning.
The Storm would have bases loaded in the second but a strikeout and a ball that deflected off the pitcher and recovered by the shortstop for an out at first would hold the score at 1-0.
The Ducks would once again get runners in scoring position but fail to get them in, in the top of the third inning thanks to a nice play from the right fielder who throws a bullet to first to get the final out of the inning.

Coming off the field the Ducks coaches talked to the players and said the right things it woke the kids up. They would get 2 runs back in the bottom of the first inning thanks to the Storm playing with the infield back with a runner on third with a 4-0 lead allowing a run to score on a groundball and a fly ball that got lost in the gray skies by the first baseman allowed another run to cross making it a 4-2 game at the end of the first inning.
The Storm would get bases loaded in the second but failed to score thanks to a strikeout and a flyout to the first baseman.
The Ducks would get another run in the second to cut the deficit to 4-3 thanks to a Nate Krakaur using his speed to beat out a throw from the second baseman with a runner on third.
