On a cold and windy Sunday morning, the LI Sharks took on Diamond Baseball Academy with a spot in the championship on the line.
Diamond Baseball Academy would get on the board early on a 2 out RBI single from catcher Eddie Bonilla in the top of the First.
The LI Sharks would answer back quickly as they loaded the basses on a hit by pitch and 4 consecutive walks gave them a 2-1 lead.
The Sharks would add a run in the second on an Owen Loomis RBI single giving the Sharks a 3-1 lead.
An RBI single by Andrew Dragos and a sac fly from Jordan Goldhammer would extend the Sharks lead to 5-1.
The Diamond Baseball Academy would get a run back in the top of the 4th on yet another Eddie Bonilla single to cut the lead to 5-2.
The Sharks weren’t happy with their lead so in the bottom of the 4th they added on 2 runs with great baserunning on passed balls. Making it a 7-2 game in favor of the sharks after 4 innings.
In the top of the fifth inning the Diamond Baseball Academy bats would wake up as they were able to put up 3 runs on 3 hits with RBI singles coming from Anthony Morelli, Anthony Delrosa, and Brandon Navmtil. Cutting the lead down to just 2 runs.

With a 8-5 lead Brennan Morrison would come out and try for the complete game. Unfortunately, he would have to be taken out after 6 and 2/3 innings due to pitch limit. Ben Walsh would come in and get the final out sending the Sharks into the the championship game against the LI Thunder with a 8-5 Victory.
