Recap of Team Steel College Signing Day

Teamwork. Respect. Integrity. Commitment.

Those are the core values of Team Steel. A common theme within the 2022 class are those values are instilled within the players. Last night, the program recognized the 40 players in the 2022 class that will be playing in college. Cam Sorgie, Director of teams, had this to say regarding the class:

“The 2022 class is made up of incredible players who have showed their commitment both on and off the field. These players have traveled the country and competed at the highest level while maintaining high marks in the classroom all while battling the adversity brought on by covid. Watching these guys train is a dream for any coaching – they show up determined, ready to challenge themselves and show  resilience and grit at every turn. I am beyond confident these players have the talent and potential to excel on their new ball fields. This was a special group we are very proud to have as part of the Steel family and help usher into their next chapters.”

In addition to the group recognition, some individual awards were handed out:

Team Steel Offensive Players of the Year: Frankie Noto (Westhampton Beach) and Tyer Hodella (Miller Place)
