by Jack McCluskey

The 13u Yeti Baseball took on the Islip Owls in the LI Boys of Summer Fall Championship game. They came away with a clean 4-0 victory.

After the game, Yeti’s Coach had this to say about their win, “We played two clean games back-to-back with both shutouts. Both of our pitchers pitched great for us today, they made all of their pitches and we made all the plays behind them and we were able to get runs in both games.“ When talking about their first season, he said “they were an outstanding group of guys. We had a 40-6 record this season, we won a tournament and they had an outstanding first year of Yeti Baseball and we are proud of them.”

The first and second innings of the game were scoreless.

In the top of the 3rd inning Islip Owls got a baserunner on but they could not get him home. In the bottom of the 3rd inning, the first two Yeti batters both walked to make it first and second.
