CN Rebels Come Away With 5-2 Victory over Storm

By Ethan Berch

More action all weekend long at Cantiague Park! This edition features the LI Storm taking on the CN Rebels in a league play battle. Even at such a young age, baseball never fails to excite!

Bryce Boccio got the start for the Storm and he was excellent. Bryce commanded the strike zone and dealt a very nice game. One of the two runs he did give up came in the first inning on a passed ball which sent home the game’s first run. In the second inning, the final run he gave up came on an RBI groundout which had the Rebels leading 2-0.

Jake Juliano got the start for the CN Rebels. Jake worked with a lead early but caught himself in trouble in the third inning. Bryce Boccio was able to help himself out big time when he stepped up with the bases loaded. He smoked a game tying 2-run single into center field, notching the score at 2.

As the game went on, so did the good pitching on both ends. However, in the top of sixth inning, the Rebels were able to break the ice when they scored the go ahead run on a wild pitch. The run scoring wild pitch was followed with a Vinny Juliano RBI and double and one more was tacked on. The Rebels took a 5-2 lead and never looked back.

The CN Rebels took down and defeated the LI Storm. Jake Juliano, the starter for the Rebels, said everyone on his team was good today and he was happy with how the offense was. The final was 5-2 Rebels.
