If you have noticed the site hasn’t been churning with information and game coverage this week, it’s not a coincidence.
I got married on Saturday, September 26 and have been largely off the grid for the past 9 days. Since that day, I have been on my honeymoon. Emily and I started in Bar Harbor, ME and worked our way down south to Portland, ME then Portsmouth, NH and now Plymouth, MA. It’s been a beautiful time and probably the first time in my life that baseball hasn’t been at the forefront of my life.
As a New Yorker, I wasn’t too familiar with the beauty that is Maine. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a vacation. We were originally set to fly to San Francisco and spend time in Napa Valley and make our way down to San Diego but obviously the pandemic and then the wildfires changed that.
Regardless, it was an amazing trip and I’m really glad we chose to do it the way we did. As I write this on 9:30am on Monday, I’m getting ready to check out of the Mirbeau Spa and head back to Long Island.
With about one month left in the 2020 baseball season, I will kick things back into high gear. This weekend, we will have coverage of the East Coast Columbus Day tournament. Before that, I will have a podcast with Kyle Chase of SJB at Pro Game Athletics tomorrow night, I will do an IG Live with Dom LoFroscia of Sayville on Wednesday and try to crank out some more Fall Ball Series before the end of the month.
