Baseball Lifestyle 101 has consistently been ahead of the curve when it comes to creating content and morphing their online baseball community into real life.
Their founder, Josh Shapiro, is born-and-raised on Long Island and a graduate of Walt Whitman HS. He played at Farmingdale State College in 2016 but dropped out to focus on his burgeoning business. They have really exploded since attending the 2018 College World Series in Omaha.
We have partnered together in the past. First with postgame interviews during the 2019 season and this year we will be co-hosting a Home Run Derby during August in Farmingdale.
During the nationwide pandemic crisis, they have been one of the few companies to thrive due to their consistent social media presence and generous giveaways. Shapiro stated that they’ve given away between $15,000-$18,000 worth of products during the past month.
Now they’ve stepped up once again – this time with something that is imperative for every Long Island native.
Last week, they announced they will be selling face masks – with baseball seams – in accordance with Governor Cuomo’s mandate to cover one’s face when you cannot maintain social distance of six feet. It’s their latest example of being proactive, but this time it’s the perfect mesh of creativity and customer needs.
Their team released a statement:
“As a New York based company, seeing the impact COVID-19 has had on our local community has been devastating. We wanted to give back to our neighbors, as well as our online baseball community, and we are so excited to be able to do so with these masks.”
Below is the link to purchase the mask. It’s important to note these are not surgical masks or PPE but simply meant to bridge the gap.
