Long Island’s newest baseball and softball facility has opened up in Bellport and it could have a big impact on the local baseball scene.
365 Athletics is a 15,000 square foot facility at the former location of All Pro Sports, and they have an A+ list of instructors.
“Our vision is to provide a high level of instruction, training and skill acquisition services throughout the calendar year. Periodization for an athlete, in both skills and conditioning means cycling through a well-conceived progression of training to assure that the athlete is in peak performance mode at the most important time of their competitive seasons. Simply put…what we do with an athlete in November is not what we will be doing with them in February, or in June, etc..” said owner Ray Babinsky.
Their program called “Hitting Project” will be led by former Rocky Point Head Coach Andrew Aschettino, St. Dominic Head Coach Brian Anderson and Eastport-South Manor Coach Jim McGowan. For pitchers, “P3 Pitching Program” will be spearheaded by Bobby DeMichael. The pitching program follows the Drive Line protocol of velocity development, with all pitches tracked by Rapsodo.
Additionally, private lessons from former big leaguers Bill Pulsipher and Neal Heaton will be available along with Bruce Kern--who spent five seasons in affiliated ball after St. John’s University.
The facility features three batting tunnels that are 75 feet long by 14 feet wide. There are four pitching mounds adjacent to the tunnels and a camera will be behind the plate for parents to watch in the lobby.
Along with the artificial turf in the facility, they installed brand-new LED lights.
Infiniti Sports Performance remains in the space that they’ve occupied. They will be fully integrated with each other, according to Babinsky.
“The ability to offer our athletes baseball and softball instruction, married with Infiniti’s performance training provides such a synergistic benefit to the athlete…not to mention immeasurable convenience to the parent,” he said.
Additionally, they will be duplicating all these programs with softball led by Shari Edwards and Rich Roberts.
The programs will be year-round and crafted towards the specific needs of the athlete. The classes will begin on Monday and you can register by clicking here.
Infiniti Performance has long been the home of many of the best baseball players in Suffolk County. Seven of the past eight Major Leaguers from Long Island were trained by them with several more in the pipeline such as Ben Brown.

“I am just so excited about the opportunity for us to deliver something special to the area. It is especially fun that we are doing all of this in the same location we started as an 800 square foot gym back in 2004. This address has a storied history and now I am confident it has an exceptional future.”
