There’s playing good baseball, then there’s playing dominant baseball. Then there’s Team Francisco Longhorn-level of baseball.
The 9U team capped an incredible season this weekend with a dominant victory in the 10U Championship of East Coast Fall Finale. For the season they outscored their opponents by the score of 64-14. And that’s playing a year up.
They were asked to play a year up due to their level of talent in which they simply weren’t being challenged.
Take this for example. Here’s what they’ve done over the past two seasons:
2018: 21-0
7U- 1. Hot Stove Summer Championship. Outscored their opponents 155-10
2. Hot Stove Fall Championship. Outscored their opponents 88-10
2019: 40-2
8U- 1. East Coast Memorial Weekend Championship. Outscored opponents 63-1
2. East Coast Spring Classic Championship.
3. Hot Stove Father’s Day Bash Championship. Outscored opponents 70-0
4. USABL World Series Finalist
5. Taylor Ryan Wood Bat Classic Championship. Outscored opponents 55-6
6. Sports at the Beach Clash of Titans Championship in Rehoboth DE. Boys went 6-0. Outscored 76-7
7. CYA JFK Memorial Tournament. Outscored opponents 67-7
2019: 4-0
9U- Baseball Heaven Think Pink Tournament Championship. Outscore opponents 40-4
2019: 7-0
10U East Coast Fall Finale 10u Championship.Outscored opponents 64-14
They have won 7 tournaments and have outscored their opponents by more than 600 runs! That’s not bad.
It will be interesting to track their progress in the years to come as 10 of the players are from the same Little League.
