Who are your biggest role models in life and why?
My biggest role models in my life are definitely both of my parents. They have lways taught me hard work pays off in the long run and have made me into the person I am today. I wouldn’t be where I am without them today and I am so grateful to have them in my life.
Who is your favorite player in Major League Baseball and why?
One of my favorite players is definitely Christian Yelich because of how much I admire his work ethic from being just an average player in the MLB to MVP last season and he continues to succeed even when he is faced with adversity.
Can you explain your experience with the college recruiting process and how you made your decision?
The process has been a long one with a lot of ups and down along the way. When I joined BEAST in the fall of my sophomore year I competed in high-level events, for example multiple Perfect Game events, to make myself a better baseball player and to get myself noticed. I visited many campuses to get a feel of the college life. Pete Kritikos and the BEAST organization made this process a lot easier for me and my family. I had a few great options for school and baseball. I knew around this time I had to soon make a decision and narrow my choices. I chose Franklin Pierce University because of their academics and their baseball program is phenomenal. They are invested in developing their players through out the four years.
Who is your favorite musical artist?
J. Cole is one of my favorite musical artists
Do you have any superstitions?
This summer when I was down in Georgia I had forgotten my black belt at home. I found a red belt in my bad and when I was down there for the week I managed to hit over .300. I continued to wear the same red belt for the rest of the season.
Can you explain the incredible run by Sayville in 2019? What was it like winning the Long Island Championship?
This year was great run. I have played with the group of seniors since 11U starting with the Sayville Grays, playing against each other in Little League and Williamsport. Being able to go that far was just an incredible experience. Our team became a lot closer during this time.
What are you looking to work on in the off-season?
This off-season I am going to continue to train at Revolution Athletics to improve, not only strength but my speed. The gym is a big portion of my life and I love competing with myself to get better everyday.
What are your goals for 2020?
My goals for 2020 are to just keep getting better and improving my game in every single way possible.
