Batting 1.000 Hosts Scout Day

The Batting 1.000 Seminoles hosted their organization Scout Day yesterday at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, NY.

The event was a huge success, as it featured 35 colleges represented across the Division-I, Division-II, Division-III and Junior College levels.

“We’re having a good time, but also working hard trying to impress the college coaches and hopefully we’ll get good feedback,” said Brendan Eising, a 2021 graduate of Deer Park high school.

The event featured three different stations for players. On one field there was measurables being recorded such as 60-yard dash times, while on another field players participated in a simulated game with live hitting and on the third field the pitchers threw a bullpen of their full arsenal of pitchers in front of the college coaches while the infielders took their ground balls at the same time.

Local Division-Is such as St. John’s, Stony Brook, Hofstra and LIU were all in attendance as well as some that are geographically further including Sacred Heart and UCONN and Rhode Island.

There was a number of high-end players in attendance that caught the eyes of the college coaches.

The event was a win-win for all involved. The players were able to showcase their skills in front of a number of the the most prominent baseball programs in the northeast while the coaches were able to take notice of some rising stars. From Axcess Baseball’s perspective, we were able to be in attendance to document it.
