On this episode, we are joined by Bay Shore Head Coach Mike Herbst. We discussed his experience winning the 1998 New York State Championship with Longwood, following their incredible run from 9-9 to State Champs. He delves into his playing career which took him from Adelphi to Suffolk and finally to CW Post. Mike talks about how he developed his coaching style, his time coaching Brian Weissert and Hermes Abreu and also how his Bay Shore team went from No. 17 seed to one game away from the County Finals in 2018. He discusses his involvement with the East End Aviators and how they have quickly become a top program in just five years.
