One of top pitchers in the 2020 class has found a home.
Justin Rosner (Farmingdale), who has been one of the most successful pitchers on Long Island since he burst onto the scene as a freshman, announced his verbal commitment to Binghamton University today.
Rosner already has three terrific seasons under his belt. Here are his stats since 2017:
2017: 1-2 record, 1.33 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 26.1 IP, 24 K, 17 H, 13 BB, 5 ER
2018: 3-2 record, 2.89 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 36.1 IP, 50 K, 34 H, 13 BB, 15 ER
2019: 3-1 record, 0.52 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, 26.2 IP, 16 H, 42 K, 3 BB, 2 ER
He is a 5’10 175 lb RHP that sits in the 84-85 MPH with his fastball, but complements it with a razor sharp slider in the high 70s with the same arm speed and slot. He also mixes in a change up.
“I chose Binghamtom because the campus is beautiful, the baseball is very good and I felt a strong bond with the coaches.”
He will be back anchoring the Dalers’ staff in 2020 as they seek to upend Massapequa from their throne of back-to-back-to-back Long Island Championships.
