The recruiting process is not an easy process, it takes a lot of time and effort to attend as many tournaments and showcases as possible.
Making sure you’re working to your full potential while at the tournaments is necessary because you never know which college coaches are there watching. It’s important to pick the college that is best for your major and academics and then to also feel the baseball team was the right fit for me. My 10th grade summer was when I started to travel almost every weekend and there were many more coaches watching the games.
My first couple of games playing in front of coaches I was nervous, but I got used to it and learned to play like nobody was watching. I feel motivated to play up to my full potential when I know there are college coaches watching me. I need to not only prove to myself, but prove to other people the talent I have. As far as my decision I felt as if Saint Peters was the best fit for me. Saint Peters is not too far from home and my brother goes to college in New Jersey as well. I will have a good opportunity to come in my freshman year and get playing time. The coaching staff are all great guys and I think they can really help me become a better player and person, they were welcoming when I came up for my visit. On my overnight visit I stayed with some of the upperclassmen on the team and they were cool and i’m looking forward to building stronger bonds with them. The campus makes you feel like you’re at a home away from home and is not too big where you won’t get lost
