November is Lung Cancer Awareness month, and Logan O’Hoppe is making an effort to help eradicate the disease that is the No. 1 deadliest cancer among women. After losing his Aunt Dana in 2015, he felt compelled to provide any help he could to make sure families don’t need to experience that loss.
He is now an ambassador for the American Lung Association, who launched a program called Men Wear Turquoise Too to raise awareness of the deadly disease and funds to help defeat it.
“Our ultimate goal is to find a cure for the disease,” said the 18-year-old O’Hoppe. “But our next goal is to bring awareness before it reaches the deadly stage through screens and check-ups,” he went on to add.
