With my verbal commitment to the University of Arkansas I am working my way to a lifelong dream of playing in the SEC. All of this wouldn’t be possible without the support and coaching I received from Brooke Richards and Marc Nellist from the Team Elite organization, Joe Francisco, Chris McCoy and Bobby DeMichael.
My last two summers were spent entirely in Georgia and Florida playing for Team Elite, one of the top ranked teams in the nation. Playing in the south, surrounded by so much great talent, was the best thing for me. It pushed me to work harder and harder. On our team we had many Team USA gold medalists, PG festival alumni and Power 5 commits. Just as my dad says “A rising tide lifts all boats” and my teammates helped elevate my game and motivated me to set my goals even higher.
I started working a lot with Max Soliz, one of our catchers, who is also an Arkansas commit and spoke highly of the program. After returning home to NY in August I decided to register for an Arkansas camp and learn more about the school and the baseball program.
My first impressions when I arrived in Arkansas were that the university was the centerpiece of the community and the school spirit was amazing. I went on a tour of the academic buildings and realized all of the opportunities I could have there.
While running onto the field in Baum Stadium during baseball camp, I knew right then and there that I wanted to continue to develop and grow as a player under the Arkansas coaching staff. It was clear to me that this is where I should spend my college years learning and competing. I feel fortunate to have the great opportunity to call University of Arkansas home and be a part of their baseball tradition. Go Razorbacks!
