It was a terrific week for the LI Strong, who became the first NY team to make it to the finals in Perfect Game‘s southeast championship in Florida, finishing the week with a record of 5-2.
They had a total of nine players named to the All-Tournament team including Ryan Kane (Bellport), who was named Pitcher of the Tournament. They also had pitchers Steven Murphy (Longwood), John Dougherty (Kings Park), Albert Wheeler (William Floyd), position players Jose Matos (Longwood), Nick Lopez (Comsewogue), Eric Bernstein (East Meadow), Brad Sakellarides (Center Moriches) and Devin Marin (Francis Lewis) placed on the team.
