PODCAST: Live From The Turning Point With Greg Thomson and Rob Savarese

On this episode, we are filming live from The Turning Point in Farmingdale, NY. We are joined by Greg Thomson and Rob Savarese. Greg was drafted out of St. John's University in the 15th round of the 2005 MLB Draft. He played five years of minor league baseball, before beginning his coaching career. Rob is a 2008 graduate of Farmingdale State, where he helped lead the Rams to their first Skyline Conference title with a 6-1 record. He also played independent ball for several years before beginning his coaching career. Together, they began the company Common Sense Baseball. We discuss their company, what it's like playing for legendary St. John's coach Ed Blankmeyer, life in the minor leagues, what it will take for the balance of power to shift back to hitting on Long Island, coaching in the Hampton's League and Holy Trinity baseball.
