We are pleased to announce we will be providing full coverage of Prep Baseball Report’s Long Island Showcase on Friday, February 23 at All Pro Field House in East Setauket.
We will be taking photos, videos and scouting the players. The top players will appear on our social media accounts and potentially be selected to our exclusive Preseason Top Players list. Additionally, there is expected to be a large turnout of college coaches in attendance.
Prep Baseball Report is an independent scouting company that is focused on amateur baseball, they are represented in 40 states throughout the country. Each state has their own director and scouting team that allows them to have a firm grasp of the baseball scene. Each player will receive a video and profile on the Prep Baseball Report website.
“It’s a great opportunity for kids, because a kid from New York can get seen from a big-time school without having to travel down south,” said the PBR-NY President Dan Cevette. “For example, we had a player Jack Scanlon from Suffern High School commit to Texas Tech that participated in the NY State Games in 2017,” he said.
Players that attend also get consideration for the New York State game that was attended by 92 colleges last year.
This will be a great event to attend if you are an uncommitted player with aspirations of playing at the college level.
Prep Baseball Report hosted their Super 60 event last weekend in Chicago with Long Island native and Vanderbilt-commit Matt Hogan being selected to participate in the event.
