One of the top bats in the class of 2018 is now off the board with Will Feil (Wheatley 2018) committing to the University at Albany this evening. The third baseman with a sweet left-handed swing really rose his stock with a tremendous 2017 campaign in which he led Wheatley to the Class B Nassau County Championship over Oyster Bay.
He went 3-for-3 in that game with three separate RBI hits. He also performed well this summer in the tournament and showcase circuit. Albany has shown an affinity towards Long Island players over the years with several of the top players choosing to attend there; notably Stephen Woods (Hills East ’13, San Francisco Giants draft pick).
Feil will be with us in our inaugural Home Run Derby on September 9 at NYIT for Team Fontana.
