Adelphi traveled to New Hampshire knowing they had a tremendous obstacle in front of them in No.2 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce.
Not only did they hold their own, but they stole Game Two by the score of 4-3 thanks to freshman Brandon Morse‘s heroics.
He drove in John Cuttita with an RBI double in the ninth inning and scored the winning run on a wild pitch.
Junior T.J. Santiago continued his stellar season by throwing 7.2 innings, allowing just three ER while striking out 11 against one walk. He gave way to Steve Kuhn, who recorded the win with 1.1 shutout innings, with one strikeout. He lowered his ERA to 2.41 on the season with a superb 39/4 K/BB ratio.
Morse had two hits and scored two runs. He’s now batting .329 on the season.
Tyler Murphy had three hits and Rob Vani had two hits.
The Panthers improve to 15-12 on the season and will face Southern New Hampshire tomorrow in a DH beginning at noon.
