Power Rankings Volume 1

There’s been enough games played where we can get a good read on what type of season it will be for NCAA-affiliated teams. Nassau and Suffolk CC still are very early in their seasons.

Here’s the first volume of our college power rankings…

Record: 11-6

They have outscored their opponents 121-75. They have hit .311 with a .389 OBP. The contributions on offense have come from virtually everyone– Anthony Galanoudis, Angelo Navetto, Kevin Podell, Deilyn Guzman, Anthony Alberghina, Michael Rahn and Brian Murphy. Every regular has an OBP over .358 and they have averaged 7.1 runs per game, including an incredible 17 against Adelphi. The pitching staff has been almost equally impressive–despite off-season question marks surrounding the entire staff. Junior Ron Bauer has emerged as the ace. He has allowed only 1 run over 27 innings while only only 13 hits. Southpaws Bobby Kelly and Anthony Catinella have both been very  effective as starters. Kelly has limited the opposition to a .192 AVG.It remains to be seen whether they can maintain this type of domination, but this weekend will be a true test with their four-game set against LIU Post. For now, they are rewarded with the top spot in our first ranking of the season.
