We’ve already seen what he can do on the mound in the big leagues but now he’s flexing his vocal chords in the studio.

Toronto Blue Jays ace and Medford native, Marcus Stroman, contributed a verse on his longtime friend, and up-and-coming artist, Mike Stud’s fourth studio album “These Days”. The song, also titled “These Days” is an ode to the duo’s new found success. Below is a transcript of the lyrics. It does not appear in the music video.
“Everything I see up in my head just comes to life
Got my day 1’s rollin ’round with me on every single flight
Yeah that’s right
That’s life, spoil everyone’s that’s with me
Made it rain in Vegas with the MVP, JD, no whiskey
And lately I’ve been stressin’ because I just miss my family
They see the smiles but never the pain and all the success they see
Allegedly, there’s some stereotypes, I don’t like, about my height
Trademark #HDMH for life
Yeah that’s right, so I copyright
Prove ’em wrong, prove myself right
14 lifts, 7 days, 7 nights
Yikes
I can’t lie, been on a mission
To make every single doubter eat their words up in their kitchen
Yeah my vision is to get it while I’m livin’
I keep winnin’
Legendary comeback, ACL incision, yeah”
Stud, the former All-American at Duke and Stroman’s teammate in 2010 will be the star of the new TV show called “Touring’s Boring” which centers around the life of him and his entourage as they tour the nation on his “Back 2 You” tour.
As a follower of Mike Stud from the beginning, it’s no surprise that he has risen to fame considering his talent, his story of injured-baseball player-turned-rapper and his down-to-earth personality. The only surprise is that it took five years to do so.
