Mike Scioscia, manager of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, will be speaking at Ward Melville on January 16th at a baseball symposium entitled “Keeping Young Arms Throwing & Dispelling the Myths”.
The event will begin at 8:00 am and conclude at 1 pm. It will be held in the Auditorium and will be free.

Dr. Luga Podesta will also be addressing the audience. He has over 25 years of experience caring for baseball players at every level of play. He was the team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1992-2006 and the Los Angeles Angels from 2010-2013. He serves as a consultant to Major League Baseball, World Baseball Classic and Major League Baseball Umpires.
Also speaking will be Philip Schrank and Danielle DeGiorgio of St. Charles Orthopedics and Kaan Celebi of St. Charles Sports Medicine.
