The Next Level Titans rolled through a 64-team tournament with an undefeated 7-0 record this week and they now qualify for the prestigious Perfect Game tournament in Jupiter, FLA which will feature the top amateur teams from across the world.

During the tournament, they scored 64 runs while allowing only 10.

Rob Weissheier, a 2016 graduate of Chaminade that is committed to Hofstra, was named the MVP of the tournament.

Head Coach Shaun Manning stated that the team received tremendous defense all tournament from Cameron Tomaiko. The junior from St. Anthony’s made two stellar plays in their extra inning victory. The first came on a diving catch in the gap and the second came on a perfect relay throw to nail the would-be winning run in the seventh inning.

The Titans turned eight double plays during the week, thanks to the tremendous infield play of SS Nick Grande (Smithtown West ’16) and Garrett Heaton (Bellport ’16).

The pitching was led by Kyle Young (St. Dominic’s ’16), Tyler Arella (John Glenn ’16) and Alvin Melendez (St. Mary’s ’16).

As a unit, the team consists of 15 Div-I prospects.

The tournament will take place Oct. 22.
