Marcus Stroman Bobble Head Day in Toronto Is a Success

He hasn’t played in a game this year, but his face was all over Toronto today.

The first 20,000 fans at the Rogers Centre were given a Marcus Stroman bobblehead. The injured ace with the affable personality even brought some magic to the Blue Jays–as they swept the Houston Astros on a two-run single by Chris Colabello.

Stroman is planning on returning to the field by September in hopes of leading the Blue Jays to the playoffs for the first time their back-to-back World Series in 1992-’93.

He has been sidelined since tearing his ACL during Spring Training on a fluke incident. In addition to rehabbing, he is also working towards completing his degree at Duke University.

The Pat-Med graduate is coming off a tremendous rookie season in which he won 11 games, compiled a 3.65 ERA, 3.96 K/BB and a 1.17 WHIP.
