2015 Baseball on the Island Comes to a Conclusion: What About Now?

Today is a bittersweet day for baseball on the island, as well as Baseball on the Island.

While it is a day of jubilance for Connetquot and Division HS as they celebrate being crowned the Long Island Champions, there will be no more high school or colleges games played on the island.

From February 13, the day that Stony Brook’s season began, until today, Baseball on the Island generated close to 100,000 views and countless interactions on Twitter.

I would be lying if I said I anticipated this when I began doing this as a hobby. After sitting back and noticing what type of buzz was being generated, I knew this was worth pursuing.

2015 has been terrific thus far, but who said it has to end?

There are plenty of events to look forward to such as the Grand Slam Challenge, Showcases, Hamptons League All Star Game, etc.

We will have coverage through out the summer, including feature stories, scouting reports and news on where the top juniors will be signing.

Stay tuned.
