Clearly, the Stony Brook Seawolves are not ready to end their season. They crushed No. 4 Sacred Heart 11-6, with the team compiling 17 hits–at least one by each starter.
The Sea Wolves jumped all over Sacred Heart in the first inning with a five spot, then added two in the second and third innings.
Casey Baker had two hits and drove in four runs. Toby Handley and Jack Parenty both compiled three hits while scoring twice. Rob Chavarria, Andruw Gazzola and Bobby Honeyman all had two hits as well.
Sea Wolves starter, Tyler Honahan, had a rough go of it. He allowed 11 hits over four innings of work, allowing three runs. Nicholas DiEva came on in relief for the ensuing 3.1 innings. He was awarded the win. Nick Brass and Cole Creighton threw the final 1.2 innings.
With the victory, they advance in the loser’s bracket. They will play TCU at 3:30 pm today. They improve to 35-15-1 overall.
