It was senior day at William J. Bonomo Field. After their eight seniors were honored, Adelphi made it worth it by clinching fourth place in the southwest division of the Northeast-10 conference which qualifies them for a postseason berth.

After losing the first game, they sent their ace Jonathon Mulford to the hill. He won his seventh game of the season, against zero losses by throwing six shutout innings to lower his ERA to 1.85. He allowed only two hits, walked none while striking out five batters. He has been terrific this season.

The offense provided him with plenty of runs. They smacked 18 hits and scored 14 runs.

Nick Zito led the day with four hits, four runs scored while driving in three runs. Donato Signore had three hits, as did Kory Cassara, who scored three runs as well.

Nick Batas and Mike Cranston closed the door with three strong innings to seal the victory for the Panthers.

The Panthers will face No. 1 ranked Pace on Tuesday.
