Through seven innings, it was 1-1 but the Panthers bats came to life. Tommy Zeigen hit a go-ahead sac fly to score Dean Sheridan. They opened it up with a two-run single by Jesse Matos.
Nick Dorcean closed it out with a clean ninth inning.
In the second game, it was all Tim Ingram. He threw a one-hit shutout, he struck out 15 and walked only one.His numbers are freakish–he now has 1.26 ERA through 50 innings, allowing only 28 hits against 68 K’s. He is on the All-American radar.
Nick Yip hit an RBI double in the first inning to score Jacob Coners and that was all they would need. They added more on RBI singles by Sheridan, Coners, Yip again and Sheridan again.
They are now 10-4 in the conference and will most likely be the No. 2 seed in the standings. They will play a tuneup game on Tuesday as they prepare for the postseason.
