This weekend the Stony Brook Seawolves stayed hot and won two of three at Georgetown to improve to 19-12 on the season.

By winning the first two games of the series they had extended their winning streak to nine-straight games but it was thwarted on Sunday with a loss.

In Game One, Tyler Honahan continued his strong season by pitching six innings, allowing one ER, allowing four hits, two walks while striking out five. He left with the game tied at 1 and did not factor in the decision, however.

In the top of the ninth, the Sea Wolves broke the tie on an RBI single by Toby Handley to drive in Jeremy Giles. They padded the lead with another run scoring hit by Robert Chavarria.

Cameron Stone threw three shutout innings of relief for his first win of the season. He allowed only one hit.

The second game of the DH was another close affair. Georgetown took an early 1-0 lead on an RBI ground out but it did not last long. The Sea Wolves responded with two in the second on a run-scoring error and a sac fly by Giles.

Georgetown tied it up in the bottom of the fourth with an RBI single which chased starter Daniel Zamora from the game–he finished with 3.1 innings, allowing three walks and three hits while striking out one.

Reliever Chad Lee did a terrific job for the Sea Wolves by throwing 2.2 shutout innings. He allowed only a single hit.

In the top of the fifth, Cole Peragine began the inning with a double down the line. The next batter, Toby Handley hit an infield single to second base, but an error on the play allowed Peragine to score and give the Sea Wolves the lead.

Teddy Rodliff came on for the ninth inning and he saved it while striking out two batters for his fourth save of the season.
