Dowling took care of business with a 4-1 win over ECC foe Queens College. Cody McPartland, who was nominated for the Cy Young of March, padded his stats with another seven dominant innings, allowing only one run on seven hits, three walks while striking out four batters to improve to 2-0.

The game was scoreless through four innings, when Queens broke through with a run in the fifth on a sac fly to right field.

It didn’t take long for the Golden Lions to respond. In the sixth, Adam Schuster singled down the left field like to score Chris Appell and tie up the game.
