The Farmingdale Rams got back on track by sweeping a double header from Keystone College by the scores of 5-4 and 5-1 to improve 4-8.
In Game One, the Rams got on the board first when Brian Brenton reached on an error. They added three in the second inning on a double steal which scored Christopher Reilly, Ryan Jordan‘s RBI single and an error which scored Jordan.
Keystone responded with two in their half of the second inning on an RBI single by Julian Lanfranco,
The Rams got one back in the third when PJ Harrington singled home Brenton. Keystone got that run back in their half on an RBI single of their own. They inched closer in the fourth on an RBI ground out by Lanfranco.

That was all the scoring. Farmingdale’s Brandon Ernest threw 3.1 innings of relief, allowing only one unearned run. Alex Pangourelias struck out the side in the seventh inning for his first save.
Game Two was even smoother for the Rams. They took an early 3-0 lead in the first inning when Mike Marino smacked a two-run double to score Anthony Alvino and Tom Rydzewski. Anthony McQuade grounded out to SS, which scored Marino for the third run.
In the second inning, the Rams struck again–more specifically, Marino, who hit another RBI double–which scored Domenic Palumbo.
That was all the Farmingdale’s staff needed. Kevin Cashman started and went 3.2 innings, allowing 0 runs on one hit. Ryan O’Connor added 1.2 innings, allowing one ER. Kevin Martinez and Christopher Reilly combined for 1.2 shutout innings to close the door.
The Rams will take on St. Joseph’s in a crucial conference DH on Monday in Patchogue.
