Stony Brook topped Sacred Heart 8-4, you can read the game coverage here.

NYIT edged LIU-Brooklyn 8-7. They did most of their damage in the fifth inning. Joe Daru walked with the bases loaded to tie the game at 4. Thomas Joannou followed suit by doing the same to give the Bears the lead. Josh Canabal added insurance with an RBI single and Nick Sebastian opened it up with a two-run double. LIU didn’t go down without a whimper, they put up two in the bottom of the ninth to make it close. Canabal, Sebastian and Anthony Martelli each compiled two hits. It was their third win of the season.

Hofstra pulled off an upset at St. John’s with a 6-4 victory. They used a four-run second inning off Alex Katz to get all the offense they needed. Brad Witkowski drove in the first run with a single. Chris Weiss followed with an RBI single of his own. Chris Hardardt executed the squeeze for the third run and Dalton Rouleau’s single capped the scoring.

St. John’s got one back in their half of the inning with a single but Witkowski’s two-run double in the top of the third put the game away at 6-3.

Alec Eisenberg navigated through five innings to win his second game of the season. He allowed two runs on four hits and five walks. He struck out one. Nick Kozlowski came in for the four inning save–he allowed one run on six hits.

Division-II:

Adelphi was defeated by Pace 11-1. You can read the game coverage here.

Molloy defeated Bloomfield 8-5. Bloomfield committed more errors (4), than they compiled hits (3). Despite that, they did hold a 5-3 entering the bottom of the seventh inning–thanks to an error by the pitcher and a double steal of home.

The Lions tied up the game with a Kevin Podell two-run double and then a wild pitch scored Anthony Alberghina to give them a 6-5 lead.

Podell added another RBI single in the eighth to add an insurance run.

Four Lions pitchers combined on the win, with Shawn Klotsche recording the victory with 2.2 clean innings with four strikeouts.
