Kean wasn’t content beating just one Long Island team. After coming back to beat St. Joseph’s, they beat Old Westbury 12-4.

Ace Tim Ingram struggled mightily with his command. In his 4.2 innings of work, he walked six and threw three wild pitches–very uncharacteristic from the reigning Skyline Pitcher of the Year. He allowed four earned runs while striking out four.

“It was the first time we’ve been out of the gym as a while so there was some kinks that needed to be worked out,” said Ingram. “The mound wasn’t terrible but it definitely wasn’t good and a real tight zone wasn’t much help,” he added.

He was relieved by Caleb Olsen, who allowed five runs in 0.2 innings of work.

In total, the pitching staff walked 11 batters.

The bright spot was the Panthers’ three-run sixth inning. They scored on Christian Faust’s RBI double, Michael Cardino’s single and a balk.

Kean also smacked 14 hits–with four players compiling multi-hit performances.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow at 3 p.m.
