Long Island native and Adelphi graduate Keith Couch recorded the six-out save in yesterday’s matinee matchup against the Mets.
Couch fired two shutout innings with two strikeouts. The play-by-play went as follows

- Danny Muno singles to CF
- Brandon Allen grounds into 6-6-3 DP
- Kirk Nieuwenhuis singles to RF
- Anthony Recker strikes out swinging

- Gavin Cecchini grounds out 6-3
- Johnny Monell pops out to 3b.
- Wilfredo Tovar strikes out swinging.
Most impressively, he threw all strikes. Couch is right on the verge of a big league promotion. He compiled a 2.78 ERA last season over 106.2 innings with a 1.22 WHIP.
