When I started this blog in 2013, I did so on a whim. I thought to myself, why should all the college players–that sacrifice so much–be relegated to waiting for May to get some publicity? Newsday ignores them completely until the College World Series and it is not fair for the players and teams that have successful years but do not reach the ultimate goal of making it to Omaha (or Carey, NC in the case of Division-II or Appleton, WI in the case of Division-III),
When I got the job at Baseball Info Solutions last summer I had no choice but to stop updating the site. The position was only for the baseball season and I am not going back this season. Now, I have more free time and I plan to take the website to the next level.
I will need some more contributors. I want to cover more than one game per day and, obviously, that can’t be done by myself. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in getting paid to cover high school and college baseball on Long Island let me know. Email me at Vincentmessana@mail.adelphi.edu.
I am committed to making 2015 the biggest year for Baseball on the Island from a traffic standpoint and the only way to do that is to provide exceptional content that can’t be found elsewhere.
