After an easy win on Wednesday, Farmingdale moved on to face No. 1 ranked Cortland in the second round of the NY Regionals.
They fell behind 10-0 after three-and-a-half innings. Matt Seelinger, winning pitching in the Skyline Conference championship game, got the start but was not effective in 0.2 innings. He was relieved by Dominick Morelli who finished the first inning.
The Rams did not lie over and die, they have battled back and cut the deficit in half to 10-5, thanks to RBI hits by Ryan Levine, Sal Sanguini and Ed Bergmann.
After straining runners in the sixth inning, the sky opened up and delayed the play. The game was suspended and will resume today at 4:30.
A win would put the Rams in tremendous position, but a loss would mean an extremely tough scenario of needing four consecutive victories.
