Yesterday the Stony Brook Sea Wolves defeated NYIT by the score of 3-2 to move to 10-9. They have now won 10 of 13 since their 0-6 start.
The Sea Wolves received great pitching from starter Tim Knesnik and reliever Bryan Tatelman. The latter received the victory for four shutout innings with three strikeouts. The winning run came across in the sixth inning on a sac fly by Kevin Krause.
The Hofstra Pride were defeated 12-4 by St. John’s. Graham Tebbit suffered the loss, he drops to 1-1 on the season. The Pride did compile 11 hits, led by Michael Friel but they committed four costly errors.
Chris Kalica recorded the win for the Red Storm, he improves to 4-1.
The Pride will take on Towson this weekend in a three-game set.
