Farmingdale Concludes Florida Trip With Victory

Farmingdale used to struggle in their trips to Florida. That seems to be a thing of the past. They concluded a 3-2 trip with a 7-6 victory over Nichols yesterday, who drop to 0-5.

It was a back-and-forth affair and the score stood at 6-6 in the fourth. Starting pitcher for the Rams, Kevin Martinez, got hit around a little bit in his 4.1 innings of work. Kevin Cashman came on and relieved him and put out the fire. The sophomore fired 4.2 shutout innings, and allowed the Rams to score the go-ahead run in the sixth inning on an RBI double by Skyline Player of the Week Ed Bergmann. PJ Harrington also added in two RBI.

The Rams move to 8-3 on the season. They will now begin their Skyline Conference schedule this weekend against Maritime on Saturday.
